Saw on the news last night that there is a war on artificial sweeteners now.

Apparently they cause type 2 diabetes

This is what you find now in all your diet foods and soft drinks.

So it's not sugarfree it's just full of shit.
 
I saw that. It's a bit misleading. They tested a lot of overweight people who were drinking sugar free soft drinks. Being overweight is probably what has led to this for them not so much the soft drinks themselves.

Either way it's a good thing IMP to avoid artificial sweeteners and sugar as well if possible.

Sugar you can walk off.
Artificial sweeteners you cannot walk off due to the damage they can cause you.
 
You can walk off calories just by exercising.
You can't when the calories are caused by artificial chemicals that are added to your foods and drinks.
Hence the weight gain and other things that happen to their bodies.

I used to only have sugarfree drinks. They made me put on weight and gave me the runs for most of the time.
So i changed back to sugar based drinks with the only thing being sugarfree so to speak is the remedy kombucha drinks and the water.
No more bouts of the runs and putting on the kilos.

What i have noticed is that i can have a can of coke but the next few days i have to change it up a bit by having a remedy kombucha or even some water.
I've lost weight just by doing that.

I've also found by getting myself walking to places i've been able to keep everything in check.

I started off this year at 78 kgs I'm now 73kgs.
I'm now on the right way to get down to my weight goal of 68kgs before looking at even going back to umpire training.

Now that i am able to cook stuff in my new oven it's even better.

My goal is for next year is to be umpiring in Ballarat Seniors.

I'm slowly getting there.

People make endless excuses for not exercising. But it's so important to just get some steps in from walking daily if you can't do anything else.

Do you have a diet plan you follow or just cut out sugar free drinks?

I just cut out the sugarfree drinks.

I also make sure that i walk to places such as wdea works where i have my appointments. It's a 2km round trip.
The 2km round trip helps me with my umpiring fitness.
I'm going to be incorporating that into my week where i do that and go to training once a week and see if i get better and better.

That has helped a real lot as well.
I also walk over to stockland wendouree where i like to meet my parents.

I will also walk up to my parents place which isn't far at all.
 
You should do a fitness blog mate or fitness tweets or something. Helping 40+ women who struggle with losing weight.
 
You do seem to have a lot of frozen stuff though mate. Pizzas and fish for example. Processed foods are not good to have too often.
Makes no difference mate. If i did fuck all nothing i'd be putting on the kilos.
The only thing is that i don't get stuff that is full of salt and other rubbish like you do when you get take away foods.

My preferred choice over any takeaway foods is to have a tv dinner.
That is one of those mccains tv dinners where i can heat up in the microwave and eat.
 
The best advice I received was to try and get in 10,000 steps a day. It might not seem a lot but it fires up your body's metabolism so that you are still burning more calories than normal when you are resting.
 
Getting fit and losing weight is much easier than people make out. People find it easier to make excuses instead of taking ownership. Diet is 90% of it.

I've gone from eating a lot of takeaway foods to minumising that to once a fortnight.
Just by watching what i eat and drink and by exercising.

I haven't bothered with having stuff like subway for a while.
I stay away from maccas, hungry jacks and kfc.
I won't have chinese food.
Won't go to dominos pizza.

I'll eat grilled fish if i'm out.
I walk everywhere just to make sure that i'm taking the kilos off.

Much better for me.
I'm in control of what i'm doing.
It's not so bad when you decide to eat whats in your pantry.
I've got a lot of things in there.
Small tins of baked beans are handy when i don't really want to cook anything.
They might make me fart but hey i can live with that.
Clearly when my pantry is low on stock its time for me to get better things to munch on.

Things i've cut back on are the lollies and other sweets i used to actually eat all the time.
I've still got a full container of mentos mints, fruits and jelly beans here in the study.
Suck on a couple of things each day.
 
Since having my coffee machine i've had nothing but a proper coffee each morning.
I've also eaten a lot of toast.
Raisin toast is a favourite of mine.
Getting myself ready for christmas and easter again.
lol
 
I have very disciplined diet. I do lots of exercise. My only bad habit is enjoying a few beers. But I'm allowed a few beers if I am doing all the other things right. We all need a treat.

I stay off the alcohol because it's not really that good for me to consume.
Also seeing people getting pissed around me isn't a good look. My natural mother used to embarrass me when she did this.
